Kaila-Ann Guiste
Communications Assistant
Kaila-Ann Guiste is the communications assistant at Create Caribbean Inc. Managing social media pages and public relations and publishing the organization’s newsletter, she acts as the voice of Create Caribbean online and offline. She is an avid animal lover and classical violinist with a passion for learning. She holds two Associate’s degrees in Tourism Studies and Economics from Dominica State College (DSC) and a certificate in Hospitality Management from Florida Atlantic University. She applied to be an intern at Create Caribbean as soon as she was a student of DSC. She spent all of her college years 2018-2021 garnering skills in research, various software, and writing during her internship at the institute. She completed an archival internship while at Create Caribbean for the collaborative project Surviving Storms, igniting a zeal for history and climate action, and deep empathy for survivors of natural disasters. She hopes to strengthen her hobbies and skills to make the most of what she is capable of in her lifetime.
