Dr. Kimone “Kim” Joseph is the Head at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus Dominica. Kim holds a doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership & Management from UWI, a Masters in Communications Studies from the University of Leeds and Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.

Kim enjoys volunteering and working in the community.  She is the Immediate Past President of the Dominica Reading Association and led that organisation’s Children’s Reading Workshop Project for many years. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees, the Activities Committee and the Hospitality Committee of the Roseau Christian Union Church and is a Board Member of the Christian Union Primary School.

When she can spare the time, Kim enjoys reading and gardening. She is also an avid supporter of all things Kwéyòl, and she looks forward to the Independence Season each year. Although she proudly hails from La Plaine in Dominica’s south-east, she currently lives in the quaint village of Cochrane in the Roseau Valley.
