Create Caribbean Research Institute at Dominica State College provides free services and consultation to Dominica State College faculty, students and staff in the areas of research support, educational technology, and other academic support services designed by the Institute or upon request of a member of the DSC community. The services to the Dominica State College community are free upon validation of their DSC credentials.
Please note that these services do not apply to basic copy editing or proofreading of academic work (for students).The Institute holds a stationery sale every semester and provides basic black and white printing services ($0.15 per page) as part of its fundraising activities to support its Research and Service Learning Program costs.
The Institute’s professional profile extends beyond the Dominica State College campus, and Create Caribbean is pleased to provide the following services to public and private sector agencies and institutions, and to individual scholars and professionals in Dominica and the Eastern Caribbean:
RESEARCH SUPPORT
This service is provided to the public with a consultation fee of $100, after which a budget will be prepared based on the project’s needs.
EDITING SERVICES
Initial consultation is $50 for one hour. This service is offered at a standard rate of $5 per page, with a $50 minimum charge for the document.
GRANT WRITING SERVICES
This service is provided to the public with a consultation fee of $100. The standard rate for this service is $10 per page, $100 minimum charge.
WEB DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN
This service is offered at an hourly rate of $50, for a minimum of 3 hours. Upon development of the website we are not responsible for creating data to put on the website however, we will transfer data from one site to the other if available and upload existing data submitted by the client.
COPY WRITING SERVICES
This service is provided to the public at a standard rate for $5 a page, with a $50 minimum charge. Please note that this service is offered for report and speech writing services, or in cases where document research and preparation have been done in advance. Create Caribbean Inc. does not produce content for academic work (i.e. any assignment for a diploma or degree program).
DOCUMENTATION SERVICES
Standard rate of recording of proceedings is $50 per hour. Each hour of recording is worth 3 total billable hours; an additional 2 hours for transcription and reporting. Total cost per hour = $150. There is a standard $50 Equipment use charge per event.
TUTORING SERVICES FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
This service is provided to the public at a rate of $10, with a two-hour fee minimum.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
This service is offered at an hourly rate of $50 for a minimum of 3 hours.
All prices are quoted in Eastern Caribbean Dollars (EC$)
Please note that all prepared budgets for major projects and billing invoices for consultation and other services will be accompanied by a draft contract agreement. Once both parties agree on the terms, a 50% deposit is paid upon signing and 50% is paid at the satisfactory completion of all projects.
