The Publishers visualizations illustrates the breadth of Caribbean literature’s reach and influence across the world, based on the information available in our dataset, which currently has 164+ publishers with 3253+ publications our dataset is always growing! As the map denotes, literary works about the region or by authors from the region are published primarily in North America and Europe but have relevance and great interest from publishers in most other continents. This can be explained by the power and value of translated works represented in the data set.

A separate visualization and database will be made available in coming versions of this project to show the authors, titles and languages captured in translated. Some student projects already capture some of this rich detail about translation.
