A geologist and science writer, she earned her Bachelor&#8217;s in Geology from SUNY Geneseo and Master\u2019s in Earth Science from the University of Northern Colorado. Her academic work has focused on volcanology and planetary science, and she enjoys describing recent geologic research to general audiences in an accessible way. Davitia is also interested in the overlap between earth sciences and the humanities. Her passion for sharing stories, research and the environment are a perfect match for Create. Davitia taught at the 2021 Create and Code Summer Tech Camp and helped develop the \u201cEarth and Space Science\u201d theme of that year.
